The AdU Falcons edged out UE Red
Warriors in their duel last Wednesday. The Falcons are now tied with DLSU Green
Archers with 2-1 record. While, the UE Red Warriors is still at the bottom half
with 1-2.
It was a hot-shooting game for AdU’s Roider
Cabrera who has 19 pts. He provided 4 triples during the first period of the
game, giving them an early lead at 27-14.
After winning against NU, the UE Red
Warriors were put to the test as they battle it out with Adamson to claim
another win. However, they had a hard time keeping up with their rivals as they
ended the 2nd quarter with only 11 additional points.
Roider Cabrera made his other 7 pts in
the second period of the game. The Adamson Falcons made a 15-4 run to end the
first half 50-25.
The highest lead of the game happened
during the third quarter. It was Ingrid Sewa’s dunk and fadeaway that made AdU
a 30-pt cushion. Adamson is still up by 23 points at the end of the quarter
(68-45).
UE tried to make a comeback in the
last quarter against AdU. At the 5:12 mark of the quarter, the Recto-based
Warriors reduced the lead to 15 pts. However, Petilos made it from down low.
UE, again, tried to turn things around with their 10-0 run, decreasing AdU’s
edge to 7 pts with only 35 seconds in the clock.
