UAAP S76 | Comeback Kings' win their 2nd; AdU gains 1st loss

Host-school Adamson Falcons lost their game against UST Growling Tigers, 67-62.

It was almost an Adamson win as they lead the first half, 34-26. Cameroonian import Ingrid Sewa of AdU dominated the first half of the game as he scored all of his 13 pts during that period. He outlasted his UST counterpart, Karim Abdul, who only contributed 4 pts for UST.

Adamson committed a number of turnovers which helped their rivals to pull off a 14-0 run in the third quarter.

Shooting guard Jeric Teng shot a 2-pointer from a steal to have a 12-point advantage, with 6:56 remaining in the game. However, the Falcons tried to turn things around as Don Trollano hit back-to-back triples with 42 seconds remaining. Roider Cabrera added another long jumper to complete a 9-0 run for Adamson.

Giving them a safe distance from AdU, the Tigers were able to stop AdU’s 9-0 run with Teng’s jumper from the corner. Teng ended the game with 15 pts.

Quarterscores: 18-22, 26-34, 45-41, 67-62
