UAAP S76 | Green Archers won despite Adamson’s comeback

La Salle’s win against hosts Adamson made a four-way tie in the middle of the standings. DLSU Green Archers and AdU Falcons joined the Red Warriors and the Bulldogs with 3-3 record. The 24th game of the first round happened at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, Wednesday afternoon.

DLSU made a 12-0 run to finish the first quarter with AdU trailing behind them by 11. Adamson finished with this season’s worst first quarter scoring with only 7 points.

With 5 minutes and 30 seconds left in the clock, DLSU have a 15-point cushion at 65-50. However, Adamson made a run to tie the game at 65-65 with 1:20 in the clock.

The game ended with La Salle and Adamson exchanging free throws. AdU’s Abrigo was given with an unsportsmanlike foul. Jeron Teng and Norbert Torres added 5 points from the free throw line.

On Sunday, AdU will face the number 1 team FEU Tamaraws for the first game in the afternoon at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum. DLSU Green Archers will face NU Bulldogs after the AdU-FEU matchup.
