UAAP S76 | FEU still undefeated; UP still winless

Is Terence Romeo taking the helm of former MVP RR Garcia as the King Tamaraw?

Last Sunday, Romeo managed to provide 20 pts and 12 rebs for his team to garner the top position of the UAAP standings. As of now, they are unbeaten with three consecutive wins. On the other hand, UP Fighting Maroons is still zero-and-three in their win-loss record.

FEU started a wide lead at the first period of the game, 23-13.

The white-clad UP team tried to close in with their opponents at the second quarter of the game. They managed to cut down Tam’s lead to 6. Despite this effort, UP was stuck at 21. The Morayta squad turned UP’s drawback to their advantage as they extend their lead to 20 at the end of the first half, 41-21.

UAAP Season 73 MVP RR Garcia was FEU’s main man during the third period of the game. He knocked 10 of his overall 15 pts during the third quarter. At the end of the quarter, the Tams lead increased, 62-41.

During the first 2 minutes of the last period, the Maroons started with a 9-0 run to reduce the lead from 21 to 12. However, the Tamaraws answered UP’s run with their 9-0 run to bring it back to 21-point lead.

FEU finished with an 18-point gap against UP.
